  2. SWAAD 2005 – A Taste of India Highlights. • 600+ guests. • Ticketed event. Students – 10 USD, Non-students – 12 USD, Children – Free. • The biggest annual fund-raiser of AID-TAMU – 6000 USD. • 50+ student volunteers. Cooking done by students. • Extensive Reaching Out program.

  3. SWAAD 2005 – A Taste of India Attractions. • Food. • Festival of lights – light-based displays and exhibits. • Discovery of India – An Indian Classical Music audio presentation. • Transcendental Emotions – A video show of Bollywood film songs. • A collage and photo exhibit stall. • A handicraft stall. • An ethnic-wear stall. • A Mehendi stall.

  4. A Taste of India: Welcome Exhibit. Lord Ganapathi – remover of all obstacles.

  5. Ticket Counter. Heavy rush at the entrance. Children were allowed free entry.

  6. Guests in line for the food. A new mechanism for crowd control was in place for Swaad 2005.
