  1. Employed Educator Report (EER) 2010-11 Form & Instructions

  2. Four Reporting Tabs on the EER • Teachers, Administrators and Service Providers • Instructional Paraprofessionals • Evaluation Practices • Teacher Salary Data • Each LEA will receive a copy of last year’s EER on the new reporting template. • Please ensure that you remove educators who are no longer employed with the LEA, being mindful to delete multiple entries for that educator, where applicable. • Remember to update all required fields in instances where teaching assignments or positions have changed (curriculum code, grade code, highly qualified indicators, etc.).

  3. Teachers, Administrators and Service Providers • Three reporting sections: • Personal & Demographic Data (yellow section) • Reported Assignment (blue section) • If an Assignment Code does not exist for a particular assignment, then the assignment should not be reported on the EER. If you feel strongly that a particular assignment should be included , contact erika.lomax@dc.gov for guidance as to how you should proceed. • Core subjects: Elementary Education (K-6); Mathematics; English/Reading/Language Arts; Science (including Biology, Chemistry and Physics); Social Studies; Foreign Language; and the Arts (Art, Music, Drama). • Educational Credentials (green section) • Include employed and contracted staff for service providers and paraprofessionals.

  4. Instructional Paraprofessionals • Very similar to the Teachers, Admin. And Service Providers worksheet with three reporting sections: • Yellow: personal and demographic data • Blue: assignment data • Green: educational credentials • Include employed and contracted paraprofessionals. • NEW column for the insertion of FTE status of a LEA’s paraprofessionals. • Please do not delete or leave this worksheet blank if your LEA does not have any instructional paraprofessionals. Instead, input on the spreadsheet “The LEA does not employ or contract instructional paraprofessionals.”

  5. Evaluation Practices • To meet SFSF reporting requirements, OSSE must collect LEA level data on teacher and principal evaluation practices. • Narrative descriptions of teacher and principal evaluation systems • Yes/No responses as to whether evaluations include student achievement outcomes • Number & percentage of teachers/principals rated at each evaluation level • Please ensure that the number of unique teachers and principals reflected on the Teachers, Admin. and SPs worksheet are the same numbers reported on the evaluation practices worksheet.

  6. Teacher Salary Data • To meet local reporting requirements, LEAs must submit the following information: • Minimum Teacher Salary (per the LEA’s salary schedule) • Maximum Teacher Salary (per the LEA’s salary schedule) • Average Teacher Salary (actual average based on current year salaries) • Salary data must be based on gross, base salaries for full-time teachers and not include bonuses, stipends or fringe benefits.

  7. LEA Validation Processes • Please utilize the steps outlined in pages 10-11 of the EER Instructions Handbook to check the accuracy of data submitted. • NEW - LEAs will be required to submit a Data Certification form along with the EER. • Based on documentation reviews conducted during several LEA on-site monitoring visits, please do not indicate that staff have the Praxis test, undergrad major/equivalent, grad major, etc. if there is no documentation on file at the LEA to support the assertion. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts, foreign degree/coursework evaluations from approved agencies, Praxis score reports, and workshop certificates and other documentation used to verify completion of HOUSSE requirements. Résumés are not acceptable for documenting degree or major completion.

  8. OSSE Validation Processes • OSSE will check that LEA submissions are complete and accurate. • OSSE will insert SPED HQ and HQ columns on the Teachers, Admin and SPs and paraprofessionals’ worksheets that indicate one’s highly qualified status. • OSSE will send the 2010-11 EER to the LEA with any questions, otherwise it will be deemed final. LEA responses to EER questions must be sent within three (3) business days.
