Health effects • Length of smoking • Tobacco leads to diseases affecting the heart and lungs • cancer • Emphysema • lung cancer
Mortality • smokers lose an average of 13.2 and 14.5 years of life • half of all lifelong smokers die earlier as a result of smoking • Smokers are three times as likely to die before the age of 60 or 70 as non-smokers
Cancer • primary risks of tobacco usage include many forms of cancer • The risk of dying from lung cancer before age 85 is 22.1%
Cardiovascular • Inhalation of tobacco makes immediate responses within the heart and blood vessels. • heart rate begins to rise • increasing by 30 percent • Smoking increases the chance of heart disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, and peripheral vascular disease.
Atherosclerosis • Coronary heart (artery) • Leads to chest pain, heart attack and heart failure • Peripheral arterial disease • pain, numbness, infection, leads to ampitation • Coronary heart • Decreased blood flow
Oral • A serious condition • oral cavity (lip, tongue, mouth, throat), esophagus, larynx, and lung • Bad breath
Female infertility • Harmful to ovaries • Pregnancy problems • The kid could be affected
Psychological • Think abnormally • Become crazy • Uncontrollable mood
Immediate effects • Relaxing effects • Calm and sometimes alert • Being dizzy
Stress • Smokers get more stress • Smokers who don’t quit get lots of mental stress.
Conclusion • smoking is extremely dangerous to you • It should avoided • They increase the legal age for smoking • not smoke in public • No publicity for smoking
