  2. Decide who is doing what • Person 1 pancakes • Person 2 syrup • Person 3 poached eggs • Person 4 wash dishes and counter • Don’t take extra juice for drinking or berries to put into your pancakes. You will not get participation points for today. • No you can’t put chocolate chips in your pancakes.

  3. Ingredients 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 cup milk 3 egg yolks 3 egg whites

  4. Directions In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Stir in milk and egg yolk until smooth. In a large glass or metal mixing bowl, whisk egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold whites into the batter until no streaks remain. (use your Kitchenaide with the wire whisk attachment for today) Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until pancakes are golden brown on both sides; serve hot.

  5. Strawberry Syrup/Compote 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen but thawed) 2 tbsp orange juice 3 tbsp granulated sugar Place all ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer about 15-18 minutes. Strain or use a potato smasher if you want a smoother consistency or serve as is. You may need to add more juice depending on the berries you use.

  6. Poached eggs 1 egg for each group member 1 t white vinegar (helps hold the shape) 1 t salt (optional) Bring 2 inches of water to a boil in a sauce pan. Reduce heat to a low boil and add vinegar and salt if desired. Break 1 egg into a bowl or cup and slip egg into the water. Add 1 at a time. Cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes or to desired firmness. Remove eggs with a slotted spoon and blot on a paper towel.

  7.
