  29. Serve Situation #1 The RF & the CF on the receiving team are overlapping at the moment of serve. The R2 blows the whistle and signals illegal alignment. At the moment of contact for serve, the line judge signals foot fault and informs the R1 that the server stepped on the line. The R1 did not see the foot fault, because the R1 was watching for illegal alignment by the setter. What should the call be? _____ Foot Fault by server _____ Illegal alignment by receiving team _____ Replay

  30. Correct Answer to Serve Situation __X__ Foot Fault by the server Because of the foot fault, the serve was not legal and illegal alignment cannot be called. 31. Alignment Situation At the moment of the serve, the R1 calls illegal alignment on player #5 who had just replaced the libero. The R1 believed that player #5 was still a back row player, but was in the LF position. The coach informed the R1 that player #5 had rotated to the front row. After taking a closer look, the R1 realizes that the coach is correct. What is the call? ____ Illegal Alignment ____ Replay ____ Ignore the coach

  32. Correct Answer to Alignment Situation The R1 should declare a replay
