Senol Taskin - Financial Reporter

Senol Taskin has been a freelance financial reporter for more than 20 years. He grew up in England but went to the United States to attend University. He earned his first degree in journalism from the University of Michigan. He then moved to New York to obtain his finance degree from Columbia University. He has used both these degrees to further his career in the field of finance journalism.

SenolTaskinFinancial Reporter Senol Taskin used the journalism degree he earned from the University of Michigan and the finance degree he earned from Columbia University to jumpstart his career as a freelance financial reporter. With more than 20 years in the industry, Senol has published many articles that have appeared in both print and online. His focus over his career has been the state of the African economy. Senol finds the story that needs to be told. Along with working from home, he also travels around the world to the principle financial centers and wherever else a given story may take him.

As the financial capital of the world, Senol felt that he would receive the greatest education and have the best opportunities by studying there. This degree, along with the one he received from the University of Michigan, has really helped him shape his career as a freelance financial journalist.

In 1991, his article "The Emerging African Economy" was featured in Finance magazine. The economy of Tanzania is of special interest to him, and he says that by the end of 2015, the economy is expected to grow by seven percent.
