An emerging profession… • Paramedics became a registered profession in 2000 • British Paramedic Association formed 2001 (now CoP) • Undergraduate Paramedic programmes available since the 90’s • Plymouth programme running since 2008 • In 2008 one of four programmes in the country offering the BSc (Hons) for Paramedic students
