IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Overseas Program Requests” (OPRs) • Beginning level FLAS may be used for an overseas program if appropriate equivalent instruction is not available in U.S. • Undergraduate students (UGs) MUST be at the Intermediate or Advanced Level of a LCTL to be eligible for FLAS • In OPR “Explanation” please indicate whether FLAS fellow is an undergraduate student. See screens #1 & #2

  6. IRIS FLAS Director Screens “OPRs” continued • NEW Enhancement to OPR:  Grantees can enter an additional program for the same student - see “Add an additional program” button. This allows you to submit more than one program in order to meet the contact hour/duration requirements.  See screen #3

IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Fellow Administration Interim Report” • Students do not have to complete their self-evaluation reports before the FLAS coordinator submits the Interim FLAS Institutional List.  However, you will not be able to move a student to the FINAL report until he/she has completed the self-evaluation.   8. IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Fellow Administration Interim Report” cont. • Oral Proficiency Scores/standardized language testing question moved from the student performance report to FLAS Admin/Add a Fellow page. See screens #5 & #6

  9. IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Instructor Administration” cont. • When you add the instructor who will be administering the pre- and post- FLAS assessments, IRIS will issue the login credentials to that instructor.     • Instructor Evaluation See screens #7-#10

  11. IRIS FLAS Director Screens International Travel Approval Request (TAR) • New Enhancement to TAR:  Grantees are required to certify that travel itinerary complies with the Fly America Act. • A TAR is required for any overseas grant related costs. See screens #11 & #12

  12. IRIS FLAS Director Screens FLAS Competition Description Screen • This is a new screen • Will give IEPS a profile of the “characteristics” of FLAS applicants across programs and the ratio of awardees to applicants over project period. See screens #13 & #14
