  2. Introduction • As we all know, rockets are a important factor in our lives. The lift our astronauts into the great vastness that we call space, propel our racers to blinding speeds, and other various activates. But how much do we know about them? This will give you a quick glimpse into their history with us.

  3. Rockets in the 17th-19th Centuries • In ancient times, rockets were made by the Chinese as fireworks to celebrate. In times of war, rockets were artillery that were made to combat enemies.

  4. Late 19th Century • Rockets were soon made into inventions in this timeline. • One man had propelled animals into the sky for space travel. • Even America and Europe made “postal rockets” to deliver mail.

  5. Early-Mid 20th Century • During WWII the use for rockets had skyrocketed.

  6. 1960’s NASA was made to develop a ship that will help America win the Space Race with Russia. The grand event happened with the Saturn V rocket that got the Apollo 11 onto the moon.

  7. 1970’s-1990’s • Throughout the time, rockets had successfully got space stations into space and paved the way for a new era for man-kind.
