Youth Intervention PR Campaign Launch Welcome! January 19, 2012
Why a Public Relations Plan? Situation • Although we know youth intervention works, too many elected officials, philanthropists, and the general pubic do not. Problem • Should awareness remain low; we are at perennial risk of losing funding, therefore not meeting the needs of our youth.
What can we do? • Speak a common language • Leverage each other’s work • Create a Youth Intervention PR Plan • Set goals and measure outcomes
Long-Term Goal • Youth intervention is as commonly understood and well-funded as early childhood education.
This is Your Plan To strengthen your capacity and improve your long-term stability. We have to work together as a team to drive public will regarding youth intervention!
