Sector Policy Priorities Overall, according to the National Development Plan (NDP II ) the health sector efforts will be geared towards attainment of universal health coverage through: strengthening of the national health system including governance; disease prevention, mitigation and control; health education, promotion and control; contributing to early childhood development; curative services; rehabilitation services; palliative services; and health infrastructure development.

  11. Lists of Health Facilities • LGs must complete a list of health facilities in the local government providing information on: • The level of the facility • The location of the facility • The status of infrastructure (wards, theatre, staff housing etc) • Bank account details • This list must be used when • budgeting for salaries, transfers to health facilities • prioritising capital investments in the sector • This list must be signed by the CAO and submitted alongside the draft budget estimates. • Without this list LGs will not be able to meet budget requirements • A template has been provided with existing data available to MoH
