  2. Exposition • Meet Katniss Everdeen. A girl from district 12, the coal mining district. She is 16 and is about to face the greatest challenge of her life.

  3. Supporting Characters

  4. Conflict • The Reaping: Once every year a ceremony called the reaping comes around. In this ceremony they choose two tributes to participate in a race to the death called The Hunger Games. Katnisses sister prim is chosen to be in The Games. Katniss then volunteers to go into the Hunger Games for her.

  5. Rising Action • Katniss Everdeen is chosen to go into The Hunger Games with Peeta Mellark. She goes into the Games and is forced to fight to the death against 23 other tributes. She faces the challenge of her life.

  6. Climax • The final battle between Katniss, Peeta, and Cato.

  7. Falling Action • Katniss and Peeta win the battle together.

  8. Resolution • They go home and live happily ever after………. Or do they?!?!
