  1. Marital Problems You can make the difference

  2. How to help your marriage • Frank Sinatra once said 'A man doesn't know what happiness is until he's married. By then it's too late.' The same often holds true for their wives, and it's one of the reasons so many people are wondering whether they can save their marriage and where to find marriage help. • The good news is that in many cases, you can save your marriage if you recognize early enough that you have marital problems and seek marriage help. But what causes those problems in the first place?

  3. What can you improve? • Do you find yourself only discussing the humdrum, boring things in life? When was the last time you shared your hopes, dreams or aspirations with your spouse? Do you long for those old days when you spent hours just talking with your partner? • Communication is the glue that holds marriages together, but if all you ever talk about is what type of laundry detergent to buy, that glue could be gone in the blink of an eye. Speak about your feelings, dreams and goals at least once a week and you will see positive changes in your relationship.

  4. Being in Different Places • Another big marriage game changer is when one of you advances faster or slower than the other. You or your partner may be happy in the comfortable rut you've worn, but the other may be ready for the next level. Maybe one of you wants to start a family. Maybe one of you wants to move from an apartment into a house. • In order for a marriage to work, you either need to have the same immediate, short, medium or long term goals, or be willing to compromise on the big issues.

  5. The Balance of Power • A marriage should never be a battle of wills, but too often we find that the balance of power in a marriage is an important factor. Women withhold sex, men keep too tight a reign on financial matters, or one partner in the marriage succeeds way beyond the other. • No marriage will ever be completely equal on every footing, but both partners in any marriage need to understand that they are just that: partners. It's the difference between a joint bank account and one partner hiding the money. A relationship won’t work if you walk the second path. Trust me.

  6. No Common Interests • No one expects you to like everything your partner does - in fact, it would be downright weird if you did. But great marriages are built on shared interests. If you find that there's nothing you and your partner enjoy doing together anymore, then it's time to find that thing. • Pick two activities or hobbies - one that each of you would like to try - and then try them together. They could be anything from bicycling to dancing to cooking classes. Keep trying until you find an activity you both love. Then, even if you have nothing else in common in terms of interests, you will have 'your special thing'. This is the best marriage help you can get, since those activities will bond you together.

  7. Conclusion • Frank Sinatra may have known his way around a microphone, but if you look at his track record with relationships, he wasn't much of an expert! If you find that you're not happy in your marriage, do something. Get the marriage help you need; remember that for every problem there IS a solution. It's your job to find it. • You can find more information about marriage problems here: http://maritalproblemsguide.com
