  2. CARDS IN BH MARKET • 2009: out of 30 banks – 26 offered cards services • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners + Bam card – local debit card • Bam card – issued by 8 banks in BH and funds settlementis done in the CBBH in RTGS

  3. December 31, 2008: 1,612.219 ISSUED December 31, 2009 : 1,754.221 ISSUED In 2009, the increase by 142.002 cards compared to 2008 4 banks with 1,4 mil. CARDS NUBMER OF ISSUED CARDS

  4. VOLUME OF PAYMENTS TRANSACTIONS VIA CARDS • 2009: KM 4.87 billion • 2008: KM 3.76 billion • 4.87 billion KM: ATM - KM 3.63 billion (74%) POS - KM 1.24 billion (26%) POS – KM 1.24 billion: Cash withdrawal: KM 0,60 billion Payments of goods and services: KM 0,64 billion

  6. AN AVERAGE TRANSACTION • Average value of one transaction: 2008.: KM 149 2009.: KM 141 (decrease by 8 KM) • Average annual turn over by a card 2008: KM 2.296 2009: KM 2.779 (increase by 483 KM)
