  1. The Life Cycle of Stars Power Point Maze V2.0 How much do you know?

  2. Rules of the Game • You will compete in team sizes of your teachers determination. • Players are allowed to participate twice only after all other students have played. • Teams must answer each true or false question within 35 seconds, clicking anything other than true or false will run your time out faster. • If your team expires the time limit you will receive a score of zero if the team does not compete again before the end of the class period. • This is a maze not a test. Grades are not determined by the percent of correct and incorrect answers. Wrong answers bring contestants closer to their end, consecutive or multiple wrong answers bring that end quicker. • Individuals who are talking or disruptive will lose points. • Your team’s score will be recorded as a daily grade, scores of an A will have an additional lower grade replaced with a score of 90.

  6. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • The determining factor of a star’s life cycle is the original star’s mass. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  7. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Medium sized stars become black holes. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  8. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Our sun will eventually become a red giant. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  9. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Red giants or Super giants primarily use hydrogen for fuel during fusion. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  10. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Black holes have such density and gravity that only light can escape. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  11. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Neutron stars are many times more dense than white dwarfs. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  12. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • The Blue Supergiant stars that can be seen through telescopes are older than our sun. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  13. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • All stars eventually go supernova. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  14. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Stars usually do not form near other stars. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  15. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Fusion is the process by which under extreme heat and pressure elements combine to form heavier elements. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  16. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Protostars are the beginning of new stars. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  17. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Supernovas release only moderate amounts of energy. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  18. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Compared to other stars our sun is rather large. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  19. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Supernovas are fairly rare occurrences in the universe. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  20. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • The hottest stars are blue in color. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  21. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Red Giant Stars use mainly helium for fusion. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  22. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • The end stage of our suns life cycle will be a white dwarf. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  23. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Most stars exist in binary systems. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  24. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Nuclear fusion begins at 15,000,000 degrees Celsius. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  25. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • The higher the mass of a star the longer it will live. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  26. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Neutron stars no longer have fusion occurring inside their cores. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  27. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Only the most massive stars will end up as black holes. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  28. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • White dwarfs are no longer undergoing fusion. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  29. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • White dwarfs are larger than small main sequence stars. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  30. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Stars give of light, heat, and other forms of electro-magnetic energy. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  31. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Our sun will eventually become a neutron star. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  32. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Nebulae (the plural of nebula) are the birthplace of stars. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  33. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Nuclear fusion occurs as stars begin to cool down. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER

  34. FIVE SECONDS LEFT ANSWER NOW TrueFalse • Only Hydrogen and Helium can undergo fusion. TIME EXPIRED NO SCORE CLICK HERE TO START OVER
