  3. FUSION IGNITION THE PROCESS IN WHICH GRAVITY COMPRESSES THE PROTOSTAR AND THE GASES IGNITE FORMING A STAR!

  4. MAIN SEQUENCE STAR • After the process of FUSION IGNITION the MAIN SEQUENCE star is formed! • A young star • Our sun is a Main Sequence star! • Can burn for 50 million years before entering old age when its fuel runs out!

  5. MAIN SEQUENCE STAR CAN BECOME EITHER… RED GIANT SUPERGIANT Middle – aged star High mass Becomes a Supernova Death is a Blackhole • Middle – aged star • Smaller mass than Supergiant • Death is a Dwarf star
