  1. Resurrection – The Jewish Nation and Judgment

  2. …for when thy judgments [commandments; righteous rule] are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9 … I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment [punishment]. Ezekiel 34:16

  3. for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Romans 14:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ… 2 Corinthians 5:10

  4. krima (Strong’s #2917) – “judgment, condemnation, sentence, punishment…” krisis (Strong’s #2920) – “judgment, justice, punishment, condemnation …”

  5. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. Hebrews 1:1-2 … but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Hebrews 9:26

  6. For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Romans 2:28-29

  7. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made… • Galatians 3:19

  8. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. • Galatians 3:17-18

  9. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10

  10. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: for this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13:13-15

  11. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?... Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. Matthew 23:32-33, 36

  12. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48

  13. But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him. John 12:37 • “We also remember here the various references to the time of judgment. There are not two days mentioned — only one, and that “the last day” (John 12:48), the day of Christ's coming.” • A. T. Jannaway, • “The Ground of Resurrectional Responsibility,” • London – 1921, pages 2 and 13

  14. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. • John 12:47-48

  15. John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  19 And this is the condemnation [judgment], that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

  16. “The result was that the nation was guilty of breaking the Mosaic covenant and was visited with severe judgments in the fearful vengeance which accompanied the destruction of Jerusalem; and their enlightenment being limited to the Mosaic covenant, they received a “just recompense of reward…” Thomas Williams, The World’s Redemption, p. 388

  17. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Matthew 12:41-42

  18. “The Queen of the South was long since dead at the time the Lord spoke these words. Hence her rising up in the judgment will necessitate her resurrection. The only basis suggested for her resurrection is related to her knowledge and understanding of the God of Israel…”

  19. Master, we would see a sign from thee. Matthew 12:38

  20. Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father: thereis  one  that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. John 5:45-46

  21. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16 …if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24

  22. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. Acts 26:6-7

  23. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. John 5:39-40

  24. And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities. Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Matthew 11:2-3

  25. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. Matthew 27:20 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42-43
