Different body types • Endomorphs: An individual with wide hips and narrow shoulders, characterised by fatness. • Mesomorph: An individual with wide shoulders and narrow hips, characterised by muscularity • Ectomorph: An individual with narrow shoulders and narrow hips, characterised by thinness

How do we measure Somatotype? • Record your height and weight • Record bone size using a Condylecalliper across the widest part of the knee and the elbow • Record muscle girth by measuring round the widest part of the biceps and gastrocnemius muscles. • Record fat content using skinfoldcallipers.
