  6. When eating continental or European Style what piece of silverware is in: • Right HAND: Knife • Left Hand: FORK

  7. When eating American Style what piece of silverware is in: • RIGHT Hand: Knife • Left Hand: Fork

  10. .Rule #2 • Avoid slurping, smacking blowing your nose or other gross noise • If necessary excuse yourself to take care of it.

  11. Rules #3 • Don’t use your utensils like a shovel or as if you’ve just stabbed the food Your about to eat.

  12. Rule #4 • Remember to use your napkin

  13. Rules #5 • Don’t use your phone when having a meal. • Never text at the table, even if the face to face conversation dies down. It will be seen as disrespectful. • You Should turn the phone off entirely.

  14. Rule #6 • Wait • until you’re done chewing to sip or swallow a drink. • (unless your choking) To begin to eat until everyone is served.

  15. Rule #7 • Cut only one piece of food at a time.

  16. Rule #8 • Avoid Slouching and don’t place your elbows on the table while EATING (it is okay to prop your elbows on the table while conversing and between courses.

  17. Rule #9 • Instead reaching across the table for something, ask for it to be passed to you.

  18. Rule #10 • Always say “excuse me” whenever you leave the table.
