  1. References Introduction Definition In this era, we have witnessed the evolution of electronic gadgets whereby they have become a norm everywhere. Electronic Devices are now a prerequisite in both work and leisure, underlying our dependence on it. Hence the question, do electronic devices improve our work efficiency, or does it have a negative influence? Work Efficiency: a measure of the output against the input for a certain task Tangible factors which define output: time, quality, quantity Intangible factors which affect output: concentration Conclusion In conclusion, a majority of respondents felt that electronic devices improved the quality of work and the efficiency of their work. However, the percentage of people who felt as such decreased as their average age went up. Males also tended to agree more than females. In general, the older age group tended to be more distrusting of electronic devices as compared to youths, possibly due to their lack of receptivity to change. Hence, it is definitive that as long as electronic gadgets are not abused by the user, it allows for greater efficiency in one’s work. Also, it is ironic that the majority of people who abuse it (the youths), are also the ones who come up with work of better quality, emphasizing the fact that youths today are sculptured into a world whereby time is of the essence and multitasking is no longer a thing for the future.
