  4. My Own Ideas Unpacking the prompt • Write down what you think of it. • What does it mean to you? • Do you agree/disagree, to what extent? • What ideas does it generate for you? • How do you react/feel about it? • Why do you react/feel this way?

  5. My Personal Experiences • Write down which of your own personal experiences you can relate to the prompt.

  6. Texts • Does the prompt remind you of any of the texts? How/why? • What ideas do you have about this prompt that you learnt from the texts?

  7. Form • Which writing style lends itself best to responding to this prompt? • Which writing style are you most confident writing in?

  8. Language • What type of language does this writing style require?

  9. Audience • Who is your audience? / Who is your writing aimed at? • Does your form and language suit this audience?

  10. Purpose • What is the point of your writing? / Why are you writing? • Do the language and form of your writing match its purpose?

  11. Context • What is the background of your writing? • What are the circumstances surrounding it?

  12. Homework • Develop an outline of a piece of writing for each of your quotes. • Plan to write in a different form for each outline.

  13. Homework due Monday • Develop one of the plans for your quotes into a full piece of writing (500 words). • Complete this task as if it were an AT at school. That means: • Set aside 150 minutes when/where you won’t be interrupted • Allow yourself a pen, paper and dictionary and write, write, write!
