Arnie Schultz Memorial Scholarship: $1,000 awarded to a student who participated in Basketball during his/her high school years or a student who is going to college and will be majoring in Business/Finance. Rotary common application is required. Rotary Scholarship Committee will select the winner. Please send directly to:Mr. Nick Vero, Scholarship Chairperson, 110 Mill Road, WHB, NY 11978. How to apply is in each description

  6. East Quogue Civic Association Award: $500 scholarship to a senior from East Quogue who will be graduating and attending a four-year college. Scholarship is awarded to the student from East Quogue with the highest academic record with other academic achievements. Common Application – Please include a copy of your high school transcript and mail directly to:Ms. Nancy Algieri, East Quogue Civic Association, P.O. Box 392, Est Quogue, NY 11942 Unofficial from Guidance

  7. John & Ester O’Keefe Scholarship: Award of $3000 per year for four years for students attending a four year college full time and that demonstrate solid academic standing or outstanding talent; proof of college matriculation required each semester. Students must attach Student Aid Report with application. April 1, 2011 deadline. Specialapplication – Selection by Sponsor. Please see the Counseling Center for address and application. Suggestions • Download • 2014 WHB Senior Scholarship Packet • WHB Common App • Rotary Common App • Read scholarship descriptions (note special deadlines) • Make list of scholarships you meet criteria • Write WHB Common App essay • Write Rotary Common App essay • Write any additional essays that scholarship require

  10. Then • Return WHB Common App to Counseling Center • Resume; Essay; Checkoff list • Mail Rotary Common application • Mail direct applications to sponsor • Email Counselor what you’ve applied for!

  11. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ • Apply- not all scholarship are for ‘A’ students • Don’t wait till the last week • Essays take time, do a good job • Keep track of deadlines • No exceptions • Incomplete apps will be disqualified • Be meticulous
