It also extends the life

  2. cycle of the crops by providing a controlled environment for the crops. Drip irrigation is mainly employed in polyhouse farming. THE INITIAL INVESTMENT It is gaining much-awaited importance in India. The initial investment is high i.e approx. Rs. 33 lakh/Acre, but the benefit-cost ratio is very high if everything takes place properly. The government is providing a support system in the form of subsidies to the farmers who are practicing polyhouse farming. The Telangana government is giving about 90% subsidy to the farmers under polyhouse. Features like walk- in environmental chambers are being introduced to make the process smoother and more farmer- friendly.
