  1. “Surprise Package” Narrative (Unit 3) Emotion-Surprise 3rd Grade • Your teacher has asked you to imagine that you are at home on a Saturday morning and your door bell rings. When you open the door, the person is gone and there is a huge package. You quickly bring the package inside. • Before you begin to write, think about what you would do with the package. • Now write at least one paragraph telling what you would do with the package. • Your letter should have at least two paragraphs. • Give details and enough information so your teacher will understand what happened. • Be sure to write clearly. • Check your writing for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. • Use transition words to show sequence. • Use a variety of descriptive words in your writing.
