Concrete Support in Times of Need For child welfare involved families… Parents may… • Be mistrustful of services and systems • Face concrete barriers to accessing services • Case worker role • Encourage help seeking behavior • Working with the family to understand their past experience with service systems • Help the family to navigate complex systems • Help the caregiver understand their role as an advocate for themselves and their child
