  2. Where are we at? • 82% of studentshave a device. • Most devices are connected. • All teachers have attended Professional Developmentsessions. • Devices are being considered in planning. • Students showing great responsibility!

  3. Edmodo • All students will have access. • An online space for teachers to share work / activities / resources with students. • Students can submit work. • Teachers can provide feedback to students. • Teachers / Parents can see what children are up to in every space.

  5. Personal Safety. • Internet is filtered by DEECD. • Teachers / Parents / Techs have 100% access. • Parents to be co-managers of the device. • Passcodes / passwords to be stored by teachers and parents. • ‘Grandma Rule’ and ‘Stop and Show’

  6. Device Safety. • Travel to and from school – Keep in case/ bag. • Locked inside at recess and lunch. • Only use your own device. • Carry with two hands. • Treat with care and respect. • No food and drink near device.

  7. Tech Support • School techs will be able to support the connection to the school network. • Updates / downloads to be done at home. • Backups to be managed at home. • Damage to be logged with Centrecom Portal OR your own repair provider.

  9. Expectations. • Fully charged every day. • Comes to school every day. • Co-managed by adult. • Available to teachers / techs at all times. • All content is school appropriate. • Will not be used for EVERY lesson.

  10. Agreement. • Need to download, sign and return. • Hard copy available if needed. • MUST be signed for students to be part of the BYOD program. Read the agreement with your child and talk about their responsibilities and your expectations.

  12. Feedback. • We are really open to feedback. • We are continuing to learn from the Grade 5/6 1:1 program, other schools and we invite your feedback. • As the program develops, parents will be informed of updates / changes etc. • Please share your thoughts with us!
