  3. Mold Cavity and Core • The mold cavity and core define the external and internal shapes of the final cast product, respectively. These parts are machined with high precision and made of heat-resistant steel to withstand repeated exposure to molten metal. • Mold Cavity: Forms the outer surface of the casting. • Core: Shapes internal features such as holes, recesses, or intricate details.
