  1. JEM-X SDAST meeting #31 Niels J. Westergaard, DNSC j_ima_iros formal status j_ima_mosaic status JEM-X shared library: JEMXLIB

  2. The j_ima_iros status • Runs on lin6 • Prepared for 16 energy intervals • (tested on four) • Updates yet for OSA5: • Intensity in cts/s • Variance in (cts/s)2 • Get flux right SDAST Meeting #31 2005-03-14 | NJW | page 2

  3. New concept: The vignetting matrix is a function of radius so 51 arrays have been stored in JMXi-BPL.-GRP (radii 75 mm thru 125 mm in steps of 1 mm) Previously the energy index was used for this selection but it is really the radius selection that matters (which is a function of energy). j_ima_iros brings both the DOL that points to JMXi-DMAP-BPL and the corresponding index (slice) of the 3 Dim vignetting array as keywords: VIGNDOL and RLIMIDX SDAST Meeting #31 2005-03-14 | NJW | page 3

  4. New IC data required: ”Backprojection lists” (BPL) that constitute the ”Aperture Response Function”. Defines for each pair (skypixel, detector pixel) whether the geometrical connection is open or blocked. Empty field (or background) shadowgrams that contain information on the countrate level and regions on the detector to avoid (such as dead anodes). The detector map from IMOD can also be used to eliminate certain bad regions from the analysis. Extra constants in JMXi-IROS-MOD. The BPLs can be obtained from j_ima_iros itself JMXi-BPL.-GRP JMXi-DMAP-BPL : Vignetting arrays JMXi-DALL-BPL : Large ARF in packed format JMXi-DAST-BPL : Unpacking table ’st’ JMXi-DAWL-BPL : Unpacking table ’w’ JMXi-DAWP-BPL : Unpacking table ’p’ (JMXi-MHOL-BPL) : Ideal mask hole pattern SDAST Meeting #31 2005-03-14 | NJW | page 4

  10. j_ima_mosaic To do before formal delivery can be done: Adapt to react on keyword RLIMIDX (in stead of energy) Acceptance of SDAST Meeting #31 2005-03-14 | NJW | page 10

  11. The shared library: JEMXLIB Status: No development since November 2004 Prospects: Array handling (reading/writing) Raytracing SDAST Meeting #31 2005-03-14 | NJW | page 11
