CONCLUSION • Israel was formed in 1948 by the League of Nations (UN) • Whereas the official name of Israel is, ‘State of Israel,’ various countries in the Middle East such as Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc., do not recognize Israel as a state and so, refers to Israel as, “Palestine, occupied by Israel.” • POVs: • Israeli Jews believe that the boundaries of Israel were allotted to Abraham (Genesis 13) and his offspring in an eternal covenant made by God. Therefore, they have a right to occupy Israel. • Palestinians believe that Israeli Jews are originally from Europe and are Jews by conversion. Therefore, it is Palestinian land and under international law, Israeli Jews are illegally occupying Palestine. • High Sovereignty, High Violence • Democracy (Liberal)
