Nine drinks a day are sold during this year 1945 “Coke” becomes a registered trademark of The Coca‐Cola Company. 1911 The annual advertising budget for The Coca‐Cola Company surpasses $1 million for the first time. 2000 The Coca‐Cola Company sponsors the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. 1927 The Company begins sponsoring its first radio program, “Vivian the Coca‐Cola Girl.” 2011 The Coca‐Cola Company celebrates 125 years of brand Coca‐Cola.
S W O T Weaknesses Opportunities Threats Strengths Coca-Cola has low product diversification. Where Pepsi has launched many snacks items like Lays and Kurkure, Coca-Cola is lagging in this segment. It gives Pepsi leverage over Coca-Cola. Many regions with hot climate have the highest consumption for cold drinks. Thus, increasing presence in such locations can be excellent – Middle Eastern and African countries are a good example. The increase in health- consciousness can reduce Coca-Cola’s sales and profits as customers migrate to healthier options offered by competitors. Coca-Cola is a highly popular brand with a unique brand identity. Its soft drinks are the most- selling drinks in history.
