Manual Handling is any transporting or supporting of a Load, this includes: Lifting and putting down Pushing and Pulling Carrying or moving throwing or dropping BY HAND OR BODILY FORCe. A load is defined as: ANIMATE - a person or animal INANIMATE - an object for example a chair, box, patient notes, bed, mattress
