  1. Final Reporting • Financial Report (reviewed and signed by PI) • Patent Report • Technical Report (prepared and submitted by PI) • NSF now requires an “Outcomes” report written in lay language (prepared and submitted by PI).

  2. Technical Report • Format varies with agency • Typically is not reviewed by SRS or SRAS • Agencies differ in time window that technical report is due (90 days for National Science Foundation) • Report can be quite extensive in detail

  3. Technical Report (NSF example) Required Elements • Graduate students • Organizational Partners • Other Collaborators or Contacts • Activities and Findings • Training and Development • Outreach Activities • Journal Publications • Books or Other One-Time Publications • Other Specific Products • Contributions Within Discipline • Contributions to Other Disciplines • Contributions to Human Resource Development • Contributions to Resources for Research and Education

  4. Technical Report Agency will typically NOT provide new funding until final report is submitted
