Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration • A Bachelor’s degree program of the Helsinki School of Economics conducted entirely in English • Educates both Finnish and foreign students for the fast-paced world of international business • Preceded by the BBA program, which was offered in Mikkeli from 1989 (to 2003)

  2. BScBA degree • 120 credits required • Major: International Business • Takes 2.5-3 years (six semesters) to complete, of which one • semester has to be spent abroad • The degree program operates year-round ”A Top-level business university with a multicultural atmosphere”

Instruction • Instruction is entirely in English • The highly qualified professors come from • leading business schools and organizations • around the world • One course at a time for three weeks • (45 hours = 3 hours * 5 days * 3 weeks) • Mandatory class attendance ” An intensive studying method gives rewarding skills for student´s working career”

  4. Studying • It is intensive and international • - There are about 100 exchange students in • Mikkeli every year • Group projects and case studies • Computers are an integral component of • studies • You can access facilities 24 hours a day, • 7 days per week

  5. Study Abroad Period • 3-12 months, depending on where you go • You can do the study abroad period in • - Europe • - North- or South America • - Asia • Exchange universities include: i.e. • Indiana University, Queens University • University of Florida, University of Texas • Sophia University

Student Union • HSE’s student union, KY • Mikkeli’s own student organization, PROBBA • All students are members of KY and PROBBA • Responsibilities • - Connections to other student unions • - Sports, culture, and company events • - Encouraging the ”BScBA spirit” • - Information and publications

  8. After graduation • The degree program is designed to prepare its • graduates for immediate entry into business life • Further studies available in either MBA or • M. Sc. degree programs offered e.g. in Helsinki, • Jyväskylä and Lappeenranta.

  9. How to get in? • GMAT, SAT I, or HSE M. Sc. entrance test • results • High school diploma • A good knowledge of English
