  1. Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud By: Mikhail Maziarka & Ryan Fissinger

  2. The Kuiper Belt • The Oort Cloud

  3. Size • The Kuiper belt is a plane in space spanning from 30 to 50 times Earth's distance from the sun. (2.5 to 4.5 billion miles) • The Oort Cloud is a massive cloud that begins at 2,000 or 5,000 astronomical units (AU) and ends at 50,000 AU. Which is almost a light years.

  4. General color and unique features • The kuiper belt have a wide range of colors including red, white, and blue because of the space environment. • It is an icy body circling around the sun with Pluto. • The Oort Cloud contains more than a trillion icy bodies and because of that it has a blue color.

  5. Rotation • The Kuiper Belt takes1,050 earth years to complete a rotation. There is no such thing as a day in the Kuiper Belt because the sun does not reach far enough to shine light on it and the belt does not move it just rotates.

  6. Unique things about the celestial body • The Kuiper Belt contains lots of celestial bodies, such as meteors and meteorites. • a disk-shaped region in the outer solar system lying beyond the orbit of Neptune and extending to a distance of about 50 astronomical units, containing thousands of small icy bodies. • The Oort Cloud is a large spherical cloud surrounding the Sun filled with billions to trillions of comets and ice particles.
