  2. Language • Jamaica people speak English and a lot of other languages.

  3. Flag • The Jamaican flag is yellow, black, and green.

  4. Food • Jamaican people eat patties, dumplings, brown stew chicken, and mangos • Their desserts are banana bread, coconut drops, and fruit cake.

  5. Animals • There are seven species of snakes that are called the Jamaican Boa, the yellow snake, and the grass snake.

  7. Fun Facts • Jamaica was claimed by Spain after Christopher Columbus landed in 1494. • Over 1,000,000 tourists visit Jamaica every year. • Jamaica has a tropical climate with high temperatures and humid weather.
