Training Purpose • Introduce the Time Study Methodology Implementation Proposal for California’s Medicaid Administrative Activities (MAA) and Targeted Case Management Programs (TCM) approved May 3, 2013. • Provide Required Annual Training on the revised Time Survey Methodology for the County Based MAA and TCM programs. • Provide an overview of the CMAA Program Operational Plan.

  5. Major Changes • Statistically Valid Time Study Methodology for CMAA and TCM • Parallel Activity Codes for CMAA and TCM • Comprehensive Implementation Plan Describing the CMAA Claiming Process

Claiming Medi-Cal Reimbursement • Federal Financial Participation (FFP) - CMAA • Basic: 50% • Enhanced: 75% (SSA Section 1903 (a)(2); 42 CFR Section 432.50) • Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) - TCM • Certified Public Expenditures (PPL 10-007) • Non Duplication Requirements • FFP Exclusions
