Central Florida RHIO Goals of the RHIO • Enhance healthcare efficiency • Provide access to medical records across numerous agency boundaries • Improve patient safety • Reduce redundant testing • Make important information available in emergencies • Preserve personal medical records in an electronic format
Central Florida RHIO • Community-based, volunteer board • 501(c)3 non-profit, operable since 2010 • Current Revenue Sources: • Grant money • Subscription fees from OH & FH • 23 million health records • Plans to include Orlando VA, Nemours Children’s Hospital & others agencies
