  1. Anne Geddes By Casey Neufeldt

  2. Biography Of Anne Geddes • Anne was born in Queensland, Australia, on September 13, 1956 • Anne has always had an interest in photography has never had any formal training. • Ever since she was a young girl, Anne knew that she wanted to be a photographer when she grew up. She enjoyed looking at photographs in magazines such as National Geographic and Life; which was her favorite. • Geddes work has appeared in Time, People, Life and PPA Magazine. • Anne is known for her stylized photographs of babies and mother hood. • An interesting fact about Anne is that one time she assembled and photographed 123 babies, each nestled in a flowerpot.

  3. A Labor Of Love • Artificial lighting was used in this image and I think Anne did a fantastic job; making the main object in the photo pop out more than its surroundings. • The main subject in this photograph is the baby because of how the lighting is focused on the baby. • The flower hat on the baby makes the composition of this image brilliant. It adds to the water and the lily pads making the photo more creative and more colorful. The dark lighting of the water is perfect; putting the main focus on the baby. • I chose this image out of many others because I think it was a really creative photo and the baby is really adorable.

  4. Erin as Toadstool • The lighting presented in this image is artificial. The green background was used well in this photo to put the viewers focus directly onto the main object which is the baby on the mushroom. • I think Anne did splendid job on creating this image. She has a great imagination and the colors and textures are clear and sharp; making the composition fantastic. The lines on the mushrooms are good examples of leading lines. • I chose this image out of the many that Anne has taken because I love anything that has to do with fantasies and when I first saw this image of a baby fairy sleeping on the mushroom, I fell in love with it. It’s my favorite.

  5. Bunny Baby • The lighting in this image was perfect for the main object which was the baby in the bunny costume. It is artificial but goes well with the white of the costume. • The composition is great in this photo. The colors go together well and the texture is clear and nicely done. • I love this image. I chose it out of many of Anne’s pictures because I think its cute and I love how Anne got the baby to smile just right for the photo, giving a smile to each viewer.

  6. Pumpkin Kids • I think Geddes did an impressive job with the two babies in the pumpkin, or the main objects. She chose the perfect lighting for the background and foreground even though the lighting and colors are artificial. • The composition is fantastic in this photograph. The photographer did awesome with the colors and texture. The green background goes wonderfully with the orange of the pumpkin. The details are also clear and noticeable. • Fall is my favorite season and Halloween is my holiday, that is why this image is one of my favorites and also the reason I chose it out of many others.

  7. Tulip Babies • Artificial coloring was used nicely in this photo. The main objects, you can tell are the two babies in the tulips. The lighting was well chosen for this image especially the black background; making the main objects pop out; putting the main focus directly onto the main objects. • The colors, textures and details all came out amazing. The image is very clear. The yellow blends well with the black back-ground. This photo has a great example of leading lines, which are the stems. • My favorite flower is the tulip and this is why I chose this picture instead of any others.
