  2. WISE and data collection/distribution i Norway Who collect and store data? • Pressure data collected and stored at Agency level. • Many agencies involved. Close cooperation across administrative borders.

  3. WISE and data collection/distribution i Norway Who collect and store data? • SoE data collected and stored both at Agency and Research Institute level. • National surveys at Research Institute level. • Data from local or regional monitoring programs stored at Agency level.

WISE and data collection/distribution i Norway New information systems at Agency level «Water-Net»: • New Internet application for the administration of water bodies (WFD). • Stores results of characterisation of water body types (qualitative information only) • To be further developed: Administration of river basin management plans and programmes of measures.

WISE and data collection/distribution i Norway New information systems at Agency level «Water Environment»: • New information system for the administration of SoE data. • To be integrated with «Water-net» as a common tool for river basin planning. • To store data relevant for SoE-reporting for all water categories except groundwater. • Will also contain geographic, supportive and interpretative information for monitoring sites and quality assurance.

WISE and data collection/distribution i Norway Integration with WISE: • Challenge: Many sources of information at national level. • Focus on integration with WISE at Agency level. • Less «hands on» at Research Institute level, but long tradition for cooperation. • Need to move some steps further in our relationship with the national Research Institutes.
