  1. Sachlo Chemicals :– Accidental Release Measures www.sachlo.com

  2. Industrial chemicals Basic and industrial chemicals are produced in huge quantities and are critical ingredients for products utilized by both industry and also the general consumer. They include chemical raw materials derived from oil (petrochemicals), basic inorganics and intermediates for chemical processes.SACHLOis one of the largest manufacturers of industrial chemicals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

  3. Common Industrial Chemicals • Liquefied Chlorine • Caustic Soda • Caustic Soda flakes • Hydro Chloric Acid • Sodium Hypochlorite

  4. 1. Liquefied Chlorine Chlorine is the single material on which the production of other chemicals mostly depends. It is used in 60% of all Commercial Chemistry, 85% of all Pharmaceutical Chemistry and 95% of all yield-enhancing or agrochemical chemistry. Chlorine is obtained by passing an electric current through a solution of brine to produce Caustic Soda, Chlorine, and Hydrogen.

  5. Accidental Release Measures Air Release:Reduce vapors with water spray. Collect runoff for disposal as potentially hazardous waste. Soil Release:Dig holding area such as lagoon, pond or pit for containment. Dike for later disposal. Trap spilled material at the bottom in deep water pockets, excavated holding areas or within sandbag barriers. Absorb with sand or other noncombustible material. Add an alkaline material (lime, crushed limestone, sodium bicarbonate, or soda ash). Water Release: Add an alkaline material (lime, crushed limestone, sodium bicarbonate, or soda ash). Absorb with activated carbon. Collect spilled material using mechanical equipment. Occupational Release:Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Avoid contact with combustible materials. Keep unnecessary people away, isolate hazard area and deny entry. Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Notify Local Emergency Planning Committee of SACHLO

  6. 2. Caustic Soda Caustic soda is a solution of Sodium hydroxide (Noah) in water. Caustic soda is obtained from the electrolysis of the salt brain. Solvay of sodium hydroxide produces and supplies caustic soda in two forms of liquid soda and solid form which widely used in industries, the liquid form of caustic soda is highly corrosive, odorless, non-flammable cleaning agent.

  7. Accidental Release Measures Soil Release:Dig holding area such as lagoon, pond or pit for containment. Cover with plastic sheet or tarp to minimize spreading and protect from contact with water. Water Release: Neutralize. Methods & Materials For Containment & Cleaning Up. Do not touch spilled material. Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Small spills: Absorb with sand or other non-combustible material. Collect spilled material in an appropriate container for disposal. Small dry spills: Move containers away from spill to a safe area. Large spills: Dike for later disposal. Keep unnecessary people away, isolate hazard area and deny entry. Notify Local Emergency Planning Committee and State Emergency Response Commission for release greater than or equal to RQ (U.S. SARA Section 304).

  8. 3. Caustic Soda Flakes Caustic soda flakes are one of our best outputs which are developed from many phases. The caustic soda flakes manufactured from quality chemicals. The pure product of caustic soda flakes is colorless and transparent.

  9. Accidental Release Measures Ventilate area of leak or spill. Keep unnecessary and unprotected people away from the area of the spill. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Spills: Pick up and place in a suitable container for reclamation or disposal, using a method that does not generate dust. Do not flush caustic residues to the sewer. Residues from spills can be diluted with water, neutralized with a dilute acid such as acetic, hydro-chloric or sulfuric. Absorb neutralized caustic residue on clay, vermiculite or other inert substance and package in a suitable container for disposal

  10. 4. Hydrochloric Acid Hydrochloric Acid is a highly reactive chemical and it forms metal chlorides, most of which are soluble. Hydrochloric acid is a clear, colorless, highly pungent solution of hydrogen chloride in water. Hydro choleric acid is found naturally in gastric acid. Sachlomanufacturing hydrochloric acid aims for opportunities in the industry.

  11. Accidental Release Measures Methods & Materials For Containment & Cleaning Up :Spills / Leaks: Large spills may be neutralized with dilute alkaline solutions of soda ash or lime. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to waterways. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Remove all sources of ignition. Provide ventilation. Do not get water inside containers. A vapor suppressing foam may be used to reduce vapors. Cover with dry earth, dry sand, or other noncombustible material followed with a plastic sheet to minimize spreading and contact with water

  12. 5. Sodium Hypochlorite  Sodium Hydro chlorite is a chemical compound with the formula NaCIO. This is obtained from the sophistication of approved chemicals. This chemical ingredient obtained from licensed and reliable dealers in the industry. Sodium Hypochlorite is mainly used as a highly effective disinfectant and bleaching agent.

  13. Accidental Release Measures Personal Precautions: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as specified in Section 8. Environmental Precautions: Ventilate area of leak or spill. Isolate hazard area. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Contain and recover liquid when possible. Methods & Materials For Containment & Cleaning Up: Collect liquid in an appropriate container or absorb with an inert material (e. g., vermiculite, dry sand, earth), and place in a chemical waste container. Do not use combustible materials, such as sawdust. Do not flush to sewer! US Regulations (CERCLA) require reporting spills and releases to soil, water, and air over reportable quantities.

  14. Exporting large scale products we target the betterment of our production by adopting new techniques. If you want to offer your product & services to Sachlo you can do this by submitting your details in the following form. We look forward to working with you.
