  2. STATUS • CE engineering contract running : • phase 1 : tender drawings • phase 2 : execution drawings • Phase 3 (option) : execution supervision • EHN1 extension: targeting main contract for September FC • EHN1 Specs almost ready : see Ilias presentation!! • Target and primary beam, technical documents for end May 2014 • If we want to go in the Sept FC we need in March to have it inside the MTP. Still not clear to me the experiments requests! • GS Engineer in charge : N.Lopez + M. Manfredi • If granted it can be constructed by mid Nov 2015, using the down period up to June 2015to avoid interference with the beam

  3. MOU • General frame MOU passed the lawyers threshold: • See: https://edms.cern.ch/document/1353815/1 • WA104 MOU in preparation: waiting for an updated version from WA104: covers T600 and T150 • WA105 MOU in preparation: waiting for a new version from WA105 : covers baby MIND, small and large prototype of LAGUNA, including b182 upgrade • Waiting for the next step from the experiments. No initial money flowing from CERN before a final version is circulating and is agreed. Signatures might then come in time!

  4. Secondary beam • Well advance • See M.Calviani presentation !! • First meeting with LBNE/FNAL yesterday • We need now to plan the sequence of R&D work • Specs for CE expected for May 2014

  5. Primary beam • No new work done • No support anymore from BE/TE !! • RendeSteerenberg : some minimal spec for CE • I see accelerator management the 24th and I will ask what they plan there. I suspect nothing! • Specs for CE expected for May 2014 • We need a write up from the work done at LAL!

  6. Safety and environmental studies • See S.Hutchins presentation for the safety files • No news from the environmental documents (why?)

  7. WA104 • Making plans fro transport of T600 • first containers can arrive early March with cryo material, need to find a place for storing the critical material • we have offers for the transport tools (large containers), we are still missing the final spec and a small review before placing the order • CERN is preparing the specs for the tendering of the 2 large transports • Schedule: first transport June 2014, second September 2014

  8. WA104 • PH is making plans for empting the hall 185 + attached lab • last news were for getting the whole in April • I protested and we are waiting for a new schedule • F.Noto and D.Macina are ready to start the engineering of the bldg. modification and clean room. We are waiting for a proper set of requirements for this work from the ICARUS experts (final dimensions, clean room specs, sequence of operation, …) • We might need to modify the main door position • We have do redo the epoxy floor

  9. WA104 • WA104 is making plans to move on the booster beam of FNAL after the T600 is rebuilt at CERN • WA104 work request for T150 not yet clear to us, we are waiting for clear instructions in particular on the requirements for the EHN1 extension • For me the critical path is on the construction of the 2 cold vessels … specs not yet final and tendering not done yet. This procurement will define the entire schedule of T600!

  10. WA104 • We have started looking at the request of putting the T600 and T150 inside a solenoidal field (~0.8T) • We have a concept ready to be discussed with the experiments, we wait for instructions.

  11. WA104 • We have at the moment no urgent requirements from NESSiE for a particular work • We need to discuss further

  12. WA105 • We got the requirements for a new cleanroom in b182 for the 1x1x3 prototype. We started working on the engineering of it! • We have requirements for the rest of the logistics and infrastructure in bldg. 182. We will act on it soon • We need to make correct links to the work to be done for cryostats and cryogenics with WA105 experts (will happen soon, after some internal clarifications inside CERN)

  13. Baby MIND • We go a request for a contribution from CERN to their construction work for Iron, power cables and electronics assemblies. • We will get specs soon

  14. LAr1-ND • We agreed to be part of this proposal for developing a new small LAr TPC for a FNAL booster experiment. The goal is reciprocity in the R&D phase such to start an effective collaboration with the US • We are discussing on how we can contribute • LAr1 people at CERN the 16th and 17th February
