  1. these are some things i have used before on mythos days...  here's how i do it:they read/research and with 15 min remaining, they raise hands and give "answers"   for each person that reports, they earn 10 points for their team.     this promotes discussion/learning :)with the stories;  i have done where the table chooses the best story from their table the next day to read aloud.  We vote (with eyes closed) and winner gets 50 points.

  2. Mythos Time Read as many books as you can today. Read at least one myth, about one mythological creature, and about one god or goddess. Then answer the following questions: What mythological creatures did you learn about that you would like to see in Rick Riordan’s books? What did you like about that creature? Describe what you would have Percy’s character do with that creature. What myth would you like to see “rewritten” into Rick Riordan’s books? Why? What god or goddess would you like for Percy to encounter in Rick Riordan’s books? Why? Describe what you liked or didn’t like about this god or goddess. Describe how you would have Percy’s character influenced by this god or goddess. What half-blood would you like for Percy to become friends with and why? What “powers” would he or she have? What half-blood would you like for Percy to become enemies with and why? What “powers” would he or she have?
