  2. Category 5 Cable Category 5 cables or Cat 5 are twisted- pair cables for the computer networks. It is used in the variant name Cat 5e specification. It is also used to carry signals like telephones and video other than computer cables.

  3. Cat 5 is known for providing a higher-speed transfer for ethernet connections. Hence, it is used in various sectors. The versatility property of the Cat 5 cable makes it capable of a variety of usages. The cable can be used in two different forms- a solid conductor or a standard conductor.   4. Category 6 Cable Category 6 or Cat 6 are standardized twisted cables used for ethernet connection. These cables are compatible with Cat5 or Cat5e cables and Cat 3 cables. The Cat 6 cables are connected by using punch-down blocks and modular connectors. It can perform up to 250 MHz; hence its performance is best compared to Cat 5 cables. Cat6 cables consist of four twisted pairs, and it supports data transfer with a speed range of 10 Gbps up to 180 feet distance.
