  7. EUROMIX I Loading

  8. EUROMIX I Weigh to go! Weighing = A vital management aid • Benefits: being able to weigh all ingredients of the ration (especially coarse fodder which represents 80% of the ingested mass) • Precise control over the quantities loaded and the quantities fed • Improved fodder stock management

  9. EUROMIX I Independent chassis as standard • Stronger machine structure • Improved stability and weighing accuracy • Single-auger  3 load cells: all of the cells are permanently activated • Twin-auger  4 load cells: precision with greater masses • Weighing possible with the machine unhitched

  10. EUROMIX I T10 Simple Weighing System • Big-digit display • Swivel support • Anti-reflecting screen 41 mm • Display in 1 or 5 kg increments • Built-in test when switched on

  11. IND 370 Programmable Weighing System EUROMIX I • Big-digit display • Swivel support • Backlit LCD screen 45 mm • Programming of up to 15 batches of 15 ingredients • Ration recorded per animal • Programming of feed batches

  12. EUROMIX I For high-fibre rations Attachment to the reinforcement collar • Holds dry and fibrous products (straw, hay, etc.) in the body • Recommended when whole bales are used • Important: increases overall height by 40 mm

  13. EUROMIX I A body suited to the loader? BODY OPENING • 870 = 3.16 m • 980 = 3.32 m • 1070 = 3.33 m • 1180 = 3.45 m • 1270 = 3.48 m • 1380 = 3.61 m • 1670 = 5.37 m • 1880 = 5.72 m • 2070 = 5.54 m • 2270 = 5.68 m • 2280 = 5.86 m • 2570 & 2580 = 6.02 m • 2770 & 2780 = 6.08 m

  14. EUROMIX I Mixing

  15. Mixing auger designed for quicker chopping! EUROMIX I • 7 serrated knives (2 long + 5 short) • Knives positioned for a “pulled” cutting effect • Asymmetric teeth for a clean cut and a self-cleaning effect • Double pitch on final quarter-coil: fast break-up of whole bales and “vortex” effect • Coil thickness: 15 mm

  16. EUROMIX I Mixing auger: knife assembly 1 small plate-mounted knife 1 large adjustable knife 1 small fixed knife 1 small fixed knife 1 large fixed knife 1 small fixed knife 1 large fixed knife

  17. Mixing auger designed for fast chopping! EUROMIX I Exclusive to Kuhn: lateral knife offset “Whole bale” position with the blade offset for bale break-up 2. “Economy” position with the blade retracted (lower power requirement) 1 2

  18. EUROMIX I For fast chopping… Two counter-knives fitted at the entry to the round section: • Holds up the product temporarily for improved fibre calibration (evenly chopped fodder results in less sorting by the livestock) • Manual counter-knives as standard

  19. EUROMIX I For fast chopping… Optional: • Hydraulic counter-knives recommended for fibrous rations to maintain permanent chopping control from the tractor cab • Counter-knife housing for increased safety (with position indicator)

  20. EUROMIX I …for both vertical augers • Optimum circulation in an “8” due to the position of the mixing baffles • Polygonal baffle shape for fast chopping • Augers rotating in the same direction: avoids compression of the mix

  21. EUROMIX I Body shape Polygonal body profile for faster chopping of the fibre

  22. EUROMIX I Inspecting the mix… 70 SERIES 80 SERIES Inspection platform Safe inspection ladder

  23. EUROMIX I Feeding

  24. 70 and 80 Series: Feeding concept EUROMIX I 70 SERIES: Side feeding 80 SERIES: Cross feeding

  25. EUROMIX I 70 SERIES: Feeding • As standard: feeding at front right • Optional: double feeding (both sides at the same time) Two-sided feeding: an exclusive Kuhn feature Trajectory of product output tangential to fodder rotation in the body

  26. EUROMIX I 70 SERIES: Standard feeding unit • Front right and rear left position (optional) • Chute opened and closed at the same time as the door • Discharge height: - 450 mm for 870, 1070 & 1270 - 660 mm for 1670, 2070 & 2270 with single axle - 700 mm for 2570 & 2770 with bogie axle • The chute keeps the string of fodder clear of the wheels

  27. 70 SERIES: Discharge conveyor (800 mm) EUROMIX I • Belt width: 820 mm • Belt length: 800 mm • Discharge height at 45°:  760 mm with single auger  970 mm with twin auger (single axle) (Conveyor not available on 2570 and 2770) • High projection speed: fodder projected a greater distance • PVC belt = silent operation • Conveyor attachment joined to the body: easier batch feeding

  28. EUROMIX I 70 SERIES: Other conveyor versions SHORT PVC CONVEYOR* • Belt length: 620 mm • Belt width: 800 mm • Discharge height at 45°  600 mm with single auger  800 mm with twin auger LONG PVC CONVEYOR* • Belt length: 1500 mm • Belt width: 800 mm • Discharge height at 45°  1200 mm with single auger  1450 mm with twin auger * Conveyor not available on 2570 and 2770

  30. EUROMIX I 80 SERIES: PVC cross conveyor • Drive motor at each end of the conveyor: equal force regardless of the side used for feeding • Conveyor guiding by a belt system:  side friction

  31. EUROMIX I 80 SERIES: PVC cross conveyor • Belt width: 820 mm for easy discharge of high-fibre mixes • Discharge height: 550 mm with single auger, 700 mm for 18 & 22 m3 and 750 mm for 25 & 27 m3 • Fodder discharged while remaining within the tractor outline • Conveyor attachment joined to the body: feeding in small batches

  32. 80 SERIES: Optional hydraulic offset EUROMIX I 250 mm hydraulic offset discharge function (large-volume swaths, obstruction by a canopy, etc.)

  33. 80 SERIES: Optional secondary tilting conveyor EUROMIX I TILTING CONVEYOR • Positioned to the right or left of the cross conveyor • Length: 800 or 1100 mm • Incompatible with main conveyor hydraulic offset function

  34. EUROMIX I 80 SERIES: various options FRONT CONVEYOR AND REAR DOOR • For buildings with no separate exit • The swath is deposited on the floor through the rear door • The tilting conveyor can be used to discharge fodder onto shed conveyors, trucks, etc

  35. EUROMIX I For an even string of fodder! • Auger speed: 16 to 29 min-1 depending on model and equipment • Adjustable main scraper: empties the body completely • Truncated auger cone: no product retention at the end of the emptying phase Exclusive to Kuhn: Second scraper with double-bent arm: • More regular feeding • Reduced recycling in the body with high-fibre rations

  36. EUROMIX I Accurate feed quantities As standard: discharge door opening indicator

  37. EUROMIX I Design

  38. EUROMIX I Body design • Wall thickness: 6 mm on single-auger and 8 mm on double-auger models • Overlapped wall positioning • Polygonal body profile: rigid structure • Bottom thickness: 15 mm for 70-Series single-auger models and 20 mm for 80-Series single-auger and all double-auger models EUROMIX I 870 - 1070 - 1270 Braces formed by welding for greater overall rigidity

  39. EUROMIX I Low power requirement! 70 SERIES • Small body bottom diameter: 2.27 m • Reduced leverage =  power requirement 870: 2.45 m 1070: 2.77 m 1270: 3.03 m 1670: 2.65 m 2070: 2.97 m 2270: 3.11 m 2570: 3.23 m 2770: 3.36 m 2,27 m
