  2. Future! What is it? In English we don’t have ONE future tense. We use several forms to talk about different ideas about the future.

  4. WILL We use will+ infinitive without to: • to express a sudden decision made at the moment of speaking. • To express promise and threat. • To express a prediction based on opinion or beliefs. • To make a request or an offer. Go to practice Go ahead

  10. Be going to (FORM) • Positive sentences (S + be going to + Vinf) eg. I am going to buy a new car. • Questions (Be + S + going to + Vinf) eg. Are you going to buy a new car? • Negative sentences (S + be + not + going to + Vinf) eg. I am not going to buy a new car. BE AM IS ARE

  11. Be going to We use be going to + infinitive without to: • To express an intention or plan. • To express a prediction based on something we can observe now. (FACTS) Go ahead Go to practice
