  4. Agendas and Take Home Folders • Agendas are to be taken home every night. We will not be checking agendas every day. However, students will be responsible for writing daily homework assignments and notes as a means of communication. • Take Home Folderswill go home each Monday. These are to be signed and returned. Please take your student’s papers out and review them. • A weekly Newsletter will also be going home each week. This will contain important dates, extra credit, and current learning objectives.

  5. Grading Policy • Our goal is to have every child proficient (80% and above) on any graded work. • If a student makes an 80 or higher, they will have the opportunity to make corrections, if they choose, in order to receive a higher grade. • If a student makes between 70-79, students are required to make corrections. • If a student makes a 69 or below, the skills will be retaught and student will retake the assignment, with the highest score recorded.

  6. Extra Credit • Students will have the opportunity to receive extra credit for each subject every 9 weeks. • The extra credit will be recorded as an additional assignment in the grade book. If your student chooses not to complete extra credit, it will not have a negative effect on his/her overall grade.
