  2. Books With Bling!Ideas for Book Reports or Literacy Stations • Book Buddies- use stuffed animals to explain their character in a book on a video. Characters can have discussions with one another about problem and solution or can summarize text. • Summaries of books recorded on video in lieu of being written. • Author study video trailer- kids pick a book and do a quick trailer to get other kids excited about their book. Kids can then pick one book from trailer to read for their next book.

  3. Books With Bling!Ideas for Book Reports or Literacy Stations • Kids can make a video of nonfiction text features. Have kids choose a text feature to present, explain it, show examples, why they are useful, etc. then put them all into one video. Text Feature Example Video • Making a video of idioms that students have illustrated. • You can use a variety of websites to record students and have other students in your class view videos. • VoiceThread is a great choice for this because only the people that you share the link with have access to the video. • Post the link to the videos on your Blackbaud page. • Video Examples of Projects

  4. VoiceThread • A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate slides and leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). • This could be great as a station while the teacher is working with a small group. • It can be set to public or private. • A homework assignment can be to go on another students post, watch it, and comment. • There is a free iPad app. • VoiceThread Video Example

  5. Websites • There are several awesome websites from the tech conference on the wiki. • Check them out and see if there is one you might like to use. • Techtalk Wiki Super Cool Websites
