    1. Mark 6:35-44 The Feeding of the 5,000 Men

    2. 6:35-42 He said to them in reply, “Give them some food yourselves.” In this chapter different people have scrutinize Jesus’ life and ministry His neighbors and friends, Herod the king, and the disciples. None of them appreciated Jesus for who He is. The disciples were still pondering, still confused, still unbelieving. They did not realize that Jesus could provide for all their needs. They were worried about the seemingly impossible task of feeding five thousand they could not see that all things are possible with God. The disciples’ doubt is a reminder of Moses’ prayer to God, “Where am I to get meat to give to all this people?” (Numbers 11:13).

    3. Mk. 6:37 You give them something to eat. Jesus knew that the apostles didn’t have enough food, money or time to locate the food so why then did He say, “You give them something to eat.” It was a teaching moment. First, there is humility, the apostles would have to admit that they could not accomplish the task. Next, when they recognized they couldn’t do it they would have to rely on God’s providence to provide. Later, Mark tells us in (10:27), “Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” When faced with an impossible task do what you can, sit the people in groups, and pray that God will do the rest.

    4. The Other Multiplication of the Loaves by Elisha 2 Kings 4:42-44 From the Last Supper accounts of the Gospels (e.g., Mark 6:41, and from every Mass we hear, “He blessed, broke, and gave to the disciples 14:22).” Though the numbers, five loaves, two fish, twelve baskets, and five thousand people are probably symbolic but their meanings aren’t clearly stated. Seven, the combination of loaves and fish, frequently symbolizes completeness or perfection. The baskets may be a symbol of the twelve tribes. The five thousand people may simply be an expression of a large number of people.

    5. A Holy Man Was Having A Conversation With God Author: Unknown

    6. A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said,  "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like." The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked inside.  In the middle of the room was a large round table.  In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly.

    7. They appeared to be starving.  They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it impossible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.  because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell." They went to the next room and opened the door.  It was exactly the same as the first one.

    8. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew. which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.  The holy man said, "I don't understand." It is simple," said the Lord.  "It requires but one skill.  You see they have learned to feed each  other, while the greedy only think of themselves.“
