Focus on Essentials First The prerequisite of winning the game of rummy should be to form a pure sequence. If you’re a beginner, then you should know that a pure sequence is formed using three consecutive cards of the same suits and shouldn’t have any Joker Card included in it. In case, if you’re successful of forming an impure sequence and/or Sets, but haven’t formed a pure sequence, you may end up losing points with maximum 80 points. Thankful of Joker Card • When you receive a Joker Card, be thankful for having it. As the Joker Card carry zero points and can be replaced with any card to form impure sequences or sets, you can use it effectively where you require the most. Also, if you’re new to the game, don’t use this card to form a pure sequence, as then you would be only wasting your time. For example, if 3♠ is a Joker, then don’t use it in pure sequence cards like 3♣, 4♣, 5♣. Instead, use this card in impure sequence – 4♣, 3♠, 6♣, 7♣.
Patience is Virtue When playing rummy, make sure that your attempts are fast., i.e., your moves are quick and accurate. Along with that, it’s equally important to weigh the pros and cons of every move you make. And where your patience will be tested the most is the time when you will receive a good/bad hand. Never celebrate the victory, until you’ve accomplished your goal.
