The Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 states that…. • Goods should be of merchantable quality • This means that the goods should be of reasonable quality, considering what was said about them, what they are supposed to do, the price paid and how long they should last • Example: crisps should be edible up to the Use By/Best Before date displayed on them
